In our perspective, concealer is underappreciated. It’s a powerful and adaptable small gadget that may be utilized in various ways. But, first and foremost, what is concealer?
Concealer is comparable to a foundation in that it covers dark circles, age spots, blemishes, and other defects by concealing pigments and blending them into the skin. Always use concealer makeup on top of your foundation to keep it from smudging. Oh, and remember that less is more. A small quantity of concealer should be enough.
Let’s look at the advantages and usage of concealer now that we’ve covered the fundamentals (no pun intended). Some of the finest concealer tricks have been condensed into six simple instructions for daily and special occasion makeup looks.
Benefits & Applications of Concealer
#1. Blurred Fine Lines
Fine lines are common in nature. It’s entirely up to you how you want to make them vanish. A buildable concealer cream that won’t cake between the wrinkles works well for us since we desire a natural appearance. Apply a few dots beneath your eyes and mix softly with your ring finger.
#2. Contour
It just takes a few swipes of concealer in the proper locations to get the desired chiseled impression. Apply a shade or two darker than your natural skin tone to the hollows of your cheekbones and the sides of your nose, blending well. For this purpose, we like to use a creamy concealer product followed by a setting spray to keep it in place.
#3. Make Dark Circles Disappear
For those nights when you stay up late binge-watching Netflix, you’ll need a little extra help in the morning to get rid of those black circles. What’s the secret? Use a brightening concealer to make your under-eye region look luminous and alive by creating an optical illusion. Gently apply a little quantity of glittery makeup in the inner corners of each eye on evenings when you stay up late.
#4. Highlight Cheekbones
Using concealer on your cheekbones is one of the simplest methods to get a beautiful look all year. Simply select a color that is one or two shades lighter than your natural skin tone, apply it, and blend. You may also use it to draw attention to your brow bones, nasal bridge, and cupid’s bow.
#5. Hide Blemishes
It may seem contradictory to use cosmetics on acne-prone skin. But not when you’re simultaneously treating and hiding imperfections. Salicylic acid-based concealer helps to minimize the size and appearance of acne while (temporary) concealing it with a natural-looking finish. To prevent putting oil on your face from your hands, apply a sponge or concealer brush.
#6. Eyeshadow & Lipstick Primer
Prime Lids and Lips Concealer is an excellent eyeshadow and lipstick primer. It produces an equal basis for seamless application and even extends the life of your items. Simply dab a tiny quantity of concealer makeup on your eyelids and/or lips with your fingers and softly massage over. Apply your favorite colors to the lids and lips to complete the look.
